It is April 15th and it is 91 degrees in our house!! The upstairs air conditioning unit is broken again (hence the 91 in here instead of a comfortable 77 or so)!
The good news:
- There is a breeze
- There is low humidity
- We have a seperate unit downstairs so we can cool off down there
The rabbits are hanging in there…. they aren’t doing much, just sleeping as usual. They are in the shade now and have a nice breeze. I am sure they miss the air conditioning more than I do.
I sure wish we had a couple more days of spring weather down here. We pretty much go from having the heat on to having the a/c on with about 10 days in between!
My pet peeve is that they don’t open the pools around here until Memorial Day! That is over a month away! The pools operate on the northern schedule of Memorial Day to Labor Day which is joke around here since it is already 90 here and will be 90 in October! Okay, off my soap box for now.
Well, our new bedroom furniture arrived this morning! Check out the pictures in our gallery. So my question is why in the world do they make mattresses so big now!! Does everything in our society have to be super sized! It is ridiculous… The mattress is twice as big as our old one. The comforter barely covers the stupid thing. They need to take about 6 inches off of it! That is my only complaint.
We have put up new blinds in the bedroom, but as you can see not much else has been done except a coat of paint and of course the new furniture. We need to get the second nightstand, a couple lamps, some pictures for the wall and a bit of decor. I will post some more pictures once I get it all decorated. Don’t hold your breath, it could be awhile. I am also trying to put together some before and after pictures of the rest of the house. The only room not finished is our bathroom.
It looks like Mama Bird may have left us….. We had a couple really big storms on Monday and her nest flooded pretty bad. It doesn’t look like there are any eggs in the nest, but it is hard to tell from the window. Poor Mama Bird, I wonder where she went?
Thank you Gary for helping me! I finally have my gallery set up and integrated thanks to Gary’s help! Check out the pictures! I will be posting more this week, but right now I am too tired and don’t have the patience to do it! Check out the cute bunny pics. Gary put all those picutres in the gallery for me. There are some really cute bunnies, but none as cute as mine! Well…. some are cuter, but don’t tell Tuscan, Moose, Sweet Pea and Rose Marie.
