I have been trying to catch a yawn on camera for a long time and I got one by accident. The photo is really bright b/c I didn’t think the flash was on and it was way too bright, but it is still worth posting!

They do lots of eating…

And lots of cuddling with each other…

Notice the white chin?

Tonight when I put all the bunnies back in their cage I got to see Bella (mom) nurse the babies! It was amazing, even Casey agreed. I wish I could have taken a picture or video, but there wasn’t enough light without the flash and I didn’t want to disturb them. Bella isn’t that big and the babies are small, but not that small and they were fighting like crazy to get some milk! Bella stands and all the babies fight for a spot. The babies lay on their back which is really cool to see. Bella looked absolutely miserable. I don’t think any human mom can complain! Just image six of them all fighting each other, pulling on you and scratching you. The babies pretty much moved her across the cage by pushing so hard. She didn’t nurse them long and it was so weird the way they just knew what was happening. Then Bella jumped away. The babies tried to followed, but quickly realized what was going on and start cleaning themselves. Very cool.

Here is my super sweet all gray bunny. She loves to be petted and puts her head down as soon as you start petting her!! She is the one that licks all the other bunnies, but never gets any kisses in return. Poor little thing.

Here is the smallest one. She was the first one to figure out how to get out of the cage when I open the door. She may be small, but she is smart and brave!

We see mom!!

Here is the last gray one. She always goes to the gate to get to mom. Everytime mom is near she is trying to get to her.

The little black ones move too fast and none of their pictures look good, but here is one of everyone minus above bunny who is trying to get to mom when the picture was taken.

Here JD is checking out mom. He is really interested, but also really scared. Look how fat he is!!!! He is going on a diet.

The foster rabbits are here!! Everyone is doing well, mom seems a bit tired and little stressed, but I guess that comes with motherhood… There are six babies!! Bunny Matters here in Raleigh was able to rescue over 20 bunnies and place all but 3 in foster homes. If anyone is interest in fostering, adopting or donating to their care (lots of vet bills) please contact me or click here for information on contacting Jessica directly.
Gray Bunny One – no white on nose

Gray Bunny Two – white spot on nose

Gray Bunny Three – white triangle on nose

Black Bunny One – little white on nose

Black Bunny Two – no white on nose

Black Bunny Three – big white spot on nose (sorry, thought I had a better picture, but I didn’t…)

Most important, Mom

Please send me name suggestions. We need lots!!!!! Or you can leave a comment here with some names. Also make sure to click here for more pictures!!! Check back often.

The bathroom is almost done!! I even got the rugs and towels. We just have to get a few things at Lowes to finish up. So now I can start looking for a new kitchen floor!! Yeah!!! Then onto the deck or maybe the deck should be first before it gets too hot.

JD likes it but he said it is a bit cold on his feet.

JD was really excited that I opened the blinds in the bathroom and he got to lay in the sun on the tub. He is just too cute.

Here is one from the other night of the rabbits enjoying their new basket.
