I hope everyone had a great Easter! We went to two different egg hunts this year, but Graham wasn’t really interested in either. At the first he was more interested in the toys in the backyard. At the second there were so many kids and most were older. They were all about the eggs and ran right for them, but Graham just stood around and watched them. One man was nice enough to put one of his kid’s eggs down for Graham to pick up. The eggs were empty so it didn’t really matter. All the kids got a goody bag to take home. Sunday after Easter dinner I put some eggs with goodies in them in the front yard for him to find. That was the first time he really got into it and was excited to find them. Mostly for the candy. I have a video, but it is long so I will post it another time. Here are a few pictures from our Holiday celebrations.
Playgroup egg hunt. This was his first one and he was more interested in the toys, but I did get him to pick up a couple.
Neighborhood egg hunt.
Enjoying a cupcake.
Cleaning up the mess.
Someone thought it was a good idea to give him a chocolate cupcake…. it was not me.
Talking to the Easter Bunny. I figured it would cause a meltdown like Santa, but after the Easter Bunny offered him some candy from the basket he warmed up to him and even sat on his lap (while keeping an arm on daddy). He even said hi and commented on his yellow vest.
Easter Day at my parent’s house. We were so happy to have my cousin Greg and his wife Christine join us. Graham loves them (especially Christine).
Graham’s Easter present didn’t come in a basket this year. I built him a stand for a sensory table. I used some plastic bins that I had and used PVC pipes to make the stand. I of course painted it a cute color. One bin is colored rice and the other is black beans. I grabbed some fun items to put in each and they have been a huge hit.
