Some days my life is just so exhausting that I have to stretch out and rest while I drink my water. I mean, it is tough you know? I have to follow mom around all morning crying for food. Then I have to keep moving my nap spot all day to follow the sun. Then when mom gets home from work I have follow her around all night crying for my dinner. It is no wonder I am so tired.
Love,
J.D.

Check me out on the news!! It is great to see rabbits getting some good press. Thanks to the SPCA for making this story happen!!! Click here to see the story.
J.D. really likes the bunnies, but he is still a bit scared of them. I really thinks he wants to be one. He eats their food, hay and lays with them and their toys. Here are a few pictures of J.D.

Several months ago JD started opening the door to Tuscan and Moose’s room so he could drink their water. He really likes water, usually water that isn’t his or is in the tub, sink, shower, toilet, etc. We put hooks on the screen door so he couldn’t get in there. After hitting his head on the door a few times he finally gave up so I stopped using the hook months ago. Well, today while I was at work he decided he wanted to go back in there so he opened the door…. Luckily the door to the guest room was closed. The bonus room is already bunny proof since they get to play in it each night so the only room they could get into that they aren’t allowed into was the bedroom. When I got upstairs and saw the door open I called them and they came running from the bonus room where they probably spent most of the day sleeping. They did do some damage in the bedroom! Nothing major. No biting of the furniture or electrical cords which is a miracle. Apparently they were too busy eating JD’s cat grass and digging in the palm tree pot. Silly bunnies. I image they had a very fun day. They aren’t running and playing much tonight. I guess they are tired. Oh, and JD was downstairs when I got home. I guess they ran him out of the bedroom.
JD’s grass…. or what used to be his grass. It was about 4 inches high this morning.

The palm tree pot, not too bad

The bathroom is almost done!! I even got the rugs and towels. We just have to get a few things at Lowes to finish up. So now I can start looking for a new kitchen floor!! Yeah!!! Then onto the deck or maybe the deck should be first before it gets too hot.

JD likes it but he said it is a bit cold on his feet.

JD was really excited that I opened the blinds in the bathroom and he got to lay in the sun on the tub. He is just too cute.

Here is one from the other night of the rabbits enjoying their new basket.

Another nice winter weekend here in NC. Today it was in the 70’s again and really nice. I love wearing my flip flops in the winter! Although, I would like it to snow at least once this year!!!! It hasn’t snowed (really snowed) around here in years. Anyway, since it was so nice we opened up a few windows and it only took J.D. a few seconds to jump up on his favorite window. He kept closing his eyes and moving his head in the breeze. Too cute.

Well, today we attempted to get some Christmas photos of the animals. It was quite an adventure… The rabbits were pretty excited at first and checking everything out, but then they settled down and sat nicely for some pictures. Tuscan looked mad in most of them, but Moose looked great. She was the perfect model. Tuscan is still pouting in the corner in his room (it has been 4 hours since the photos were taken). Then we brought in J.D. You would think the little rabbits would have been scared (being the prey and all), but they really didn’t care about J.D. being there. J.D. on the other was so scared!!! It was all we could do to get him to sit still and not run away. At first I couldn’t get the three of them close at all, but eventually we were able to coax J.D. a bit closer, but not too close. I posted a few of my favorite bad pictures…. I am saving a few good ones for later.

While the rabbits are away the cat loves to play with their toys…. He is drawn to the willow ball too! He chews on it which they hate because they have to keep scenting it! Today he managed to get the sticks wrapped around his neck.

Sure do like this new comforter. The humans seem to be letting me sleep on the bed a lot more lately….. I never sleep in my bed anymore.
